New day, new goals

Sup homies, today has struck me as a day to put my goals out there and start getting on a better track to reach them. Every week in group therapy, we end our sessions with setting a goal to work on until the next session and I want to try and get on a good road to work on those and some projects that have been lacking lately. In the past, I've usually been pretty good with reaching goals that have to do with finances but I think I want to go for some more well-rounded goals in all areas and aspects of life.


Recent, Sophisti-spouse and I got together and created some goals we want to have done over the next three months. These are goals in potential preparation to start a family with a sophisti-kid, maybe two. Sophisti-spouse, for good reason, has been really concerned with how I've been lately given the recent mental breakdown and some of the feelings and sensations I've been experiencing so it has definitely added some hesitation in the baby-making department so we assigned goals for each other to work on to get more informed and prepared financially and mentally to see if this is something we want to move forward with. There are some aspects of this part of our relationship that are really complicated and that might be a post for a different day, but the goals I have are reasonable and general enough that I don't mind sharing, plus there are some additional goals I would like to accomplish.


I will break these goals up into categories and assign potential completion dates and I will update and edit these are time goes forward.


Work goals:

+work one full month at three full days and two half days - Nov 19, 2021

+return to a five day, full day schedule- Dec 6, 2021 (depends on the duration of group therapy)


Health goals:

+get referral to a maternal/fetal specialist- Nov 4, 2021

+have appt with maternal/fetal specialist- TBD

+start running again at least 1 day a week- Nov 10, 2021

+get flu shot & COVID booster shot when available- ASAP/Oct 30, 2021

+start using the stationary bike again 1 day a week- Nov 10, 2021

+try out the gyms in our complex at least once- Nov 10, 2021


Finance goals: (will make monthly posts on debt/savings progression)

+pay off credit card debt- Dec 31, 2021

+get personal savings/EF to $10,000 or 6mo worth EF- Dec 31, 2022

+for the SS joint account, get house fund to $20k- Dec 31, 2022


Household goals:

+purge my closet and post items for sale- Oct 31, 2021 & on-going

+finish going through boxes from the move- Nov 28, 2021

+buy Christmas and Thanksgiving home decor- Nov 21, 2021

+finish making my Christmas themed pillow cases & placemats- Nov 28, 2021


Blog goals:

+continue to post at least once a week on this blog- ongoing

+set up an Instagram page for SS- Nov 6, 2021

+create IG posts and images on Canva- Nov 6, 2021



I'm sure there are other things that I'm not thinking of at the moment but I think this is a good start. I'm hoping to get some social media up and running here soon so maybe I can attract at least one or two unique visitors. I would call that a win if that happens. I've just never been great at gaining popularity on social media and I've never really cared that much about it but I do want to try and get this blog out and about and see what happens.


For anyone that may be reading, what would your suggestions be on attracting readers? Any advice or referrals to other pages would be great.
